Celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month with the National League of Cities.
The National League of Cities featured Jason's work to connect Asian American and Pacific Islander residents in Snohomish County.

For Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the National League of Cities asked APAMO leaders how they were celebrating at home. Jason was one of the featured voices.
Building a unified voice
Jason noted that his city and county are home to a vibrant AAPI community that still lacks a unified voice. To help change that, he was organizing a multinational community soccer tournament with a Korean community group, which became the Green Earth Cup held in SeaTac that August.
He also highlighted Mukilteo's DEI Commission and its support for minority owned businesses.
Recovery and reading
Jason pointed to Snohomish County's therapeutic court program, which gives people facing mental health and substance use challenges a path to recovery. He also worked with local libraries to read a Korean children's book to kids during the month.
