Jason Moon elected Mukilteo City Council Vice President for 2025.
The Mukilteo City Council selected Jason as Council Vice President for 2025, alongside new regional and national appointments.

Three years after joining the council, Jason was chosen by his colleagues to serve as Council Vice President for 2025, with Tom Jordal as Council President.
From appointee to council leadership
Jason joined the Mukilteo City Council in 2022, when he was appointed to fill the seat left open by Mayor Joe Marine, and he won a full term in 2023. Before that, he chaired the city's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission.
He said he was deeply humbled and honored to take on the role.
A wider seat at the table
The same month, Jason was named to the Puget Sound Regional Council's Economic Development Board, which covers King, Snohomish, Pierce and Kitsap counties, and to a National League of Cities federal advocacy committee. He was also elected Vice President of NLC's Asian Pacific American Municipal Officials (APAMO).
Korean community outlets in the region covered the news as a milestone for second generation Korean American leadership.
