Jason Moon launches his 21st District campaign with 200 supporters.

About 200 people joined Jason in Lynnwood as he formally launched his campaign, focused on community, affordability and safety.

On April 26, 2026, Jason formally kicked off his campaign for State Representative at the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center. An estimated 200 people attended.

Voices from the community

Speakers included Jason's 9 year old son Theo, who said his dad would be a good leader because he is kind, along with a high school student, a neighbor and local officials including Mukilteo Councilmember Don Doran, Lynnwood Councilmember Bryce Owings and Edmonds Councilmember Vivian Olson. A letter from PUD Commissioner Julieta Altamirano-Crosby was read aloud.

Speakers described Jason as kind, bipartisan and a good listener who engages with youth, seniors and local businesses.

The platform

The son of Korean immigrants who worked hard to buy a family home, Jason framed his campaign around housing affordability and fiscal discipline in state spending.

On public safety, he called for revisiting vehicle pursuit laws, adding prosecutors, investing in crime labs and supporting law enforcement. On homelessness and addiction, he said accountability isn't punishment, and compassion without accountability isn't compassion. He also pledged to resign from the Mukilteo City Council if elected.
